There was a marked difference in class between these two sides as Medway dominated from start to finish to record their fourth straight win of the season. Ten players scored points in this 11-try victory.

Only five minutes had gone before prop George Dyer picked up from the base of a ruck and dived over from a range of half a metre.

Two minutes later Medway spread the ball rapidly wide and exposed big gaps in Maidstone's line through which Tom Bourne burst to run in under the posts from 50 metres.

Tom Barnes muscled over from five metres out for the third. Paul Pierce then went close but the ball was lost forward into the in-goal. The referee was presumably unsighted because Stewart Stockford pounced on it and a try was given.

The Maidstone forwards were scrummaging strongly but their heads dropped at that, and Medway quickly ran in three more. Jamie Chapman intercepted a pass on the wing to go under the posts, Jonathan Saddington took a pass from Gavin Hyder and sidestepped past the last defender, and James Davies took advantage of Aaron Dimmick's fly-hack to dive over from short range.

Aman Gill converted five from seven in the first half which ended with Medway 45 points ahead.

Medway were slow to start in the second half, but then a training ground move paid off with Tom Bourne claiming his second after crashing through the centre.

Paul Pierce was pushed over by the pack in the corner, and then George was popped a ball and rushed over for his second.

Joe Jelfs deservedly scored the last after being put in by Am, and the referee ended the game early with the score at 65 - 0.
